Did Anyone Prepare Us for Adoptee Adulthood?

Maybe you feel grateful AND upset. Connected to your family AND disconnected at the same time. Like you should be over it by now... but you're not? Here you are in your 20s, 30s, 40s, maybe older, processing what it means to be adopted. Adoption isn't something you "get over." It's something we integrate. And that takes tools most people never taught us. This course teaches:

1. Why adoptee challenges in adulthood may look different (and why that's normal)
2. Questions many of us are still asking in our 40s and beyond (and how I've learned to hold them)
3. Tools for navigating identity, relationships, birth family search, along with those "am I allowed to feel this way?" moments
4. How to find community when you've felt alone for so long

Teen Adoptee eCourse ($29)

Nope. But it makes sense you feel that way.

Being adopted isn't something we typically learn how to talk about. But that doesn't mean teen adoptees aren't thinking or feeling about it.

I'm an adoptee too. I get it.

In this 5-module course, teen adoptees will:

1. Hear from someone who felt similar to them (spoiler: it's Cam!)
2. Hear from other teen adoptees who get what they're going through
3. Learn why they feel the way they do (and what to do about it!)
4. Get tools for talking to parents, grown-ups in general, dealing with questions at school, relationships, organizing their stories and figuring out who they are

The Adoptee's Journey 

Adoption is often framed by happy narratives, but many adoptees struggle with unaddressed loss and trauma. Narrating his own and other adoptees' complex stories, Cam unpacks the history of adoption and the church's influence, helping adoptees regain their agency and identity on a journey of integration and healing.
