Fun, interactive atmosphere to introduce “6 Journey Points” - adoptee-specific concepts that adoptees often encounter during adolescence.

Curriculum inspired by Cam's book The Adoptee’s Journey: From Loss and Trauma to Healing and Empowerment
Fall sessions will be hosted weekly and virtually on Zoom

Meet Cam
Cam Lee Small, MS, LPCC, founder of Therapy Redeemed, is a Korean American transracial adoptee and licensed clinical counselor who has pioneered adoption-informed mental health practice through innovative research and evidence-based training. As creator of the H.O.P.E. Adoption Literacy framework published in The Family Journal (2025), Cam bridges lived experience with clinical expertise to transform how families and professionals address critical gaps in adoption-informed mental health practice in America and beyond.
With 65+ professional trainings delivered since 2019 and a 100% adoption-focused clinical practice, Cam's work has been featured by TEDx Minneapolis, CBS Minnesota, HBO, National Council for Adoption, Christianity Today, University of Minnesota School of Social Work, and Center for Adoption Support and Education. His book The Adoptee's Journey: From Loss and Trauma to Healing and Empowerment was nominated for the FORWARD INDIES Book of the Year Award.
Cam earned his Master's in Counseling Psychology from University of Wisconsin-Madison and was nominated for the American Psychological Association's Andrew T. Dailey Master's Practitioner Award for Distinguished Contributions (2023). He is both an alum and current curriculum facilitator for the Permanency & Adoption Competency Certificate through the Center for Advanced Studies in Child Welfare and University of Minnesota School of Social Work.
